After graduating from university with a BCom degree, Alan joined a national firm of Chartered Accountants , successfully passed the Canadian Institute Uniform Chartered Accountancy exams and became a member of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec on January 23, 1973 until August 27, 1998 when he resigned as he was no longer in public practice.After achieving partnership in the C.A. firm and practising as a consultant to small to medium sized businesses in a wide variety of industries, Alan ventured out into the business world. Among his many achievements, he was a partner and CFO of a very successful US based international apparel company, was the COO of a domestic children’s wear manufacturer and then became the owner/operator of several different businesses in the gift, home decoration, restaurant supply industries as a manufacturer, importer, wholesaler and distributor.
