1st AD for the feature film's second unit, shot in Bexley Heath.

I did some work experience over the two days that ‘Kill Your Friends’, Directed by Owen Harris, was being filmed in London. These two days showed me how an industry standard film set worked as well as how to work on location.

Over the weeks I was with Feel I understood the workflow of a smaller production company. With each floor a different production phase, all in one building so that communication is seamless.

Chapman University (Dodge college) run a Filmmaker's Summer course every year. On this 2 week course I learnt how to best plan and write a screen play, shoot and then edit a short film on location using Panasonic XDCAMs and AVID editing software. I took part in the various different pre and post production roles when making multiple short films (5 - 10 minutes).

I spent a week with an advertising production company called 'Smuggler'. Whilst there I organised the 90+ confidentiality agreements from their previous Jaguar car advert shoot, I ran around London picking up and dropping off props and papers, and on the final day I was a production runner for them when they were shooting establishing shots in London. This time with them taught me a lot about the pre-production and production side of the industry.

MET film school is based in London at Ealing studios and teaches a wide range of students all of the roles of film making. I attended the four week directing course which was focused on how to be a good director; how to work with your crew and how to direct your actors. We also had a lot of hands on production experience as we also crewed for other short film directors at the time (as a runner/boom operator/cinematographer's assistant) using small sound stages, JVC XDCAMs and Premiere Pro (5 minute shorts).
