Margaret Byrd Jones Foundation Inc.

The Margaret Byrd Jones Foundation Inc. was founded in 2009 by Leslie Jones Longmire. She recognized that girls in communities that lack financial and parental resources, become victims of unrealized dreams and wasted talents. The primary purpose of the foundation is to administer program activities that enhance the lives of underrepresented young girls by providing tools to help them make positive academic and personal choices. The foundation's activities are designed to build self-esteem, promote culture, value education, enhance social skills and encourage volunteerism.
