Legal Wales Cymru'r Gyfraith Overview

The aims of Legal Wales are: To provide a forum for the discussion and formulation of views and proposals for action on issues affecting the administration of justice, the teaching and researching of law and the provision of legal services as they affect Wales; When the Board think it appropriate, to make representations on any matters which directly affect the Foundation’s functions to Senedd Cymru, the United Kingdom Parliament, the Welsh Government or the United Kingdom Government or any other relevant body; To promote the interests of the legal community in Wales as a whole; To encourage interest in, and study of, the law as it applies to Wales; To organise a Legal Wales Conference so long as it continues to appear to the Board to be expedient or useful to do so, either directly or through another body established or incorporated by the Board for that purpose; To support initiatives designed to increase access to the legal profession in Wales and/or by persons resident in Wales. Amcanion Cymru’r Gyfraith yw: I ddarparu fforwm i drafod a llunio barn ac awgrymiadau er mwyn gweithredu ar faterion sy’n effeithio ar weinyddiaeth cyfiawnder, addysgu ac ymchwilio’r gyfraith, a’r ddarpariaeth o wasanaethau cyfreithiol yng Nghymru / sy’n effeithio ar Gymru; Pan fo’r Bwrdd yn ei gweld yn addas i wneud hynny, cynnig cynrychiolaeth ar faterion sy’n effeithio swyddogaethau’r Sefydliad tuag at Senedd Cymru, Senedd y DU, Llywodraeth Cymru neu’r DU neu unrhyw gorff cyffelyb arall; I hybu buddion y gymuned Gyfreithiol yng Nghymru yn ei chyfanrwydd; I ennyn diddordeb yn y Gyfraith, a’r astudiaeth ohono, fel y bo’n gyfredol i Gymru; I drefnu Cynhadledd Cymru’r Gyfraith tra pery’r diddordeb a’r diben i wneud hynny, unai yn uniongyrchol neu trwy gorff arall a benodir gan y Bwrdd i’r diben hynny; I gefnogi mentrau a gynllunnir i gynyddu mynediad i’r proffesiwn cyfreithiol yng Nghymru, ac/neu i’r sawl sy’n byw yng Nghymru.
