Christy Friedgram Industry is one among the pioneer food processing companies in India to implement the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS). Founded in 1989, it is the flagship enterprise of the Christy Group, a growth oriented philanthropic conglomerate. In fact, CFI is the first brick in the establishment and formation of the Christy group- an INR700 Crore mega corp. CFI started operations a few years after the first ICDS scheme was announced in Tamil Nadu by the honourable ex-Chief Minister, Shri M. G. Ramachandran in 1982. Since its inception, CFI has grown by leaps and bounds to serve over 563 Anganwadis in Tamil Nadu, providing nutritious food to over 21 lakh children, 3 lakh adolescent girls and over 6 lakh pregnant women and lactating mothers.
