App Ed Review

App Ed Review provides teachers with reviews of educational apps to promote student engagement and blended learning in their classroom. Included in each review are: 1. An original description that explains what teachers and students will experience when using the app; 2. A comprehensive evaluation that pinpoints an app’s strengths and shortcomings; 3. 3-5 instructional ideas that scaffold how teachers could use the app immediately with their students; 4. Screenshots of the app to help teachers envision the ideas put forward in the review; and, 5. A search tool that allows teachers to find apps by subject area, purpose, and cost. With schools and districts providing tablet devices for all their teachers and students to use, our goal is to provide teachers with a quick and straightforward platform for finding and using educational apps with their students. To ensure the quality of our app reviews, we have published research articles that explain our methodology in reputable peer-reviewed journals, including the Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education journal and the Journal of Information Technology Education. No other app review service offers this kind of quality information.
