Age Concern New Zealand

Age Concern promotes positive ageing and wellbeing and represents the interests of its constituents so that more older people are connected, celebrated, supported, respected and empowered. We are the only charity in New Zealand dedicated solely to people aged 65 and older. Age Concern New Zealand (ACNZ) is our national office. ACNZ provides strategic leadership on issues affecting older people throughout the country, as well as information and support to our local Age Concerns so they are well-equipped to deliver crucial services to their community. Together our local Age Concerns and ACNZ provide: - Information and advice to enable older people, their families and carers, to make informed decisions; - Resources to promote positive ageing; - Accredited Visiting Services (AVS) and Elder Abuse and Neglect Prevention Services (EANP); - Health Promotion and Support Services; - An active voice on issues affecting older people.
